Friends, delegates and fellow Americans: I humbly and gratefully accept your nomination for the presidency of the United States.

Who would have believed that when we started this journey on June 16th of last year, we – and I say we because we are a team – would have received almost 14 million votes, the most in the history of the Republican Party, and that the Republican Party would get 60 percent more votes than it received eight years ago. Who would have believed this? Who would have believed this? The Democrats, on the other hand, received 20 percent fewer votes than they got four years ago. Not so good. Not so good.

Together, we will lead our party back to the White House, and we will lead our country back to safety, prosperity, and peace. We will be a country of generosity and warmth. But we will also be a country of law and order.

Our Convention occurs at a moment of crisis for our nation. The attacks on our police, and the terrorism in our cities, threaten our very way of life. Any politician who does not grasp this danger is not fit to lead our country.

Americans watching this address tonight have seen the recent images of violence in our streets and the chaos in our communities. Many have witnessed this violence personally; some have even been its victims.

I have a message for all of you: the crime and violence that today afflicts our nation will soon, and I mean very soon, come to an end. Beginning on January 20th 2017, safety will be restored.

The most basic duty of government is to defend the lives of its own citizens. Any government that fails to do so is a government unworthy to lead.

It is finally time for a straightforward assessment of the state of our nation.

I will present the facts plainly and honestly. We cannot afford to be so politically correct anymore.

So if you want to hear the corporate spin, the carefully-crafted lies, and the media myths the Democrats are holding their convention next week. Go there.

But here, at our convention, there will be no lies. We will honor the American people with the truth, and nothing else.

These are the facts:

Decades of progress made in bringing down crime are now being reversed by this Administration’s rollback of criminal enforcement.

Homicides last year increased by 17% in America’s fifty largest cities. That’s the largest increase in 25 years. In our nation’s capital, killings have risen by 50 percent. They are up nearly 60% in nearby Baltimore.

In the President’s hometown of Chicago, more than 2,000 people have been the victims of shootings this year alone. And almost 4,000 have been killed in the Chicago area since he took office.

The number of police officers killed in the line of duty has risen by almost 50% compared to this point last year. Nearly 180,000 illegal immigrants with criminal records, ordered deported from our country, are tonight roaming free to threaten peaceful citizens.

The number of new illegal immigrant families who have crossed the border so far this year already exceeds the entire total from 2015. They are being released by the tens of thousands into our communities with no regard for the impact on public safety or resources.

One such border-crosser was released and made his way to Nebraska. There, he ended the life of an innocent young girl named Sarah Root. She was 21 years-old, and was killed the day after graduating from college with a 4.0 Grade Point Average, number one in her class. Her killer was then released a second time, and he is now a fugitive from the law.

I’ve met Sarah’s beautiful family. But to this Administration, their amazing daughter was just one more American life that wasn’t worth protecting. No more. One more child to sacrifice on the altar of open borders.

What about our economy?

Again, I will tell you the plain facts that have been edited out of your nightly news and your morning newspaper: Nearly Four in 10 African-American children are living in poverty, while 58% of African-American youth are now not employed. 2 million more Latinos are in poverty today than when President Obama took his oath of office less than eight years ago. Another 14 million people have left the workforce entirely.

Household incomes are down more than 4 thousand dollars since the year 2000. That’s 16 years ago. Our trade deficit in goods reached nearly, think of this, think of this, our trade deficit is 800 billion dollars, think of that, 800 billion dollars last year alone. We’re going to fix that.

The budget is no better. President Obama has almost doubled our national debt to more than 19 trillion dollars, and growing. And yet, what do we have to show for it? Our roads and bridges are falling apart, our airports are in Third World condition, and forty-three million Americans are on food stamps.

Now let us consider the state of affairs abroad.

Not only have our citizens endured domestic disaster, but they have lived through one international humiliation after another. One after another. We all remember the images of our sailors being forced to their knees by their Iranian captors at gunpoint.

This was just prior to the signing of the Iran deal, which gave back to Iran 150 billion dollars and gave us absolutely nothing – it will go down in history as one of the worst deals ever negotiated. Another humiliation came when president Obama drew a red line in Syria – and the whole world knew it meant absolutely nothing.

In Libya, our consulate, the symbol of American prestige around the globe, was brought down in flames. America is far less safe and the world is far less stable than when Obama made the decision to put Hillary Clinton in charge of America’s foreign policy.

Let’s defeat her in November.

I am certain that it was a decision that President Obama truly regrets. Her bad instincts and her bad judgement, something pointed out by Bernie Sanders, are what caused so many of the disasters unfolding today.

Let’s review the record.

In 2009, pre-Hillary, ISIS was not even on the map. Libya was stable. Egypt was peaceful. Iraq was seeing really a big, big reduction in violence. Iran was being choked by sanctions. Syria was somewhat under control.

After four years of Hillary Clinton, what do we have?

ISIS has spread across the region, and the entire world. Libya is in ruins, and our Ambassador and his staff were left helpless to die at the hands of savage killers. Egypt was turned over to the radical Muslim brotherhood, forcing the military to retake control.

Iraq is in chaos. Iran is on the path to nuclear weapons. Syria is engulfed in a civil war and a refugee crisis now threatens the West. After fifteen years of wars in the Middle East, after trillions of dollars spent and thousands of lives lost, the situation is worse than it has ever been before.

This is the legacy of Hillary Clinton: death, destruction, terrorism and weakness.

But Hillary Clinton’s legacy does not have to be America’s legacy. The problems we face now – poverty and violence at home, war and destruction abroad – will last only as long as we continue relying on the same politicians who created them in the first place. A change in leadership is required to produce a change in outcomes.

Tonight, I will share with you my plan of action for America.

The most important difference between our plan and that of our opponent, is that our plan will put America First. Americanism, not globalism, will be our credo. As long as we are led by politicians who will not put America First, then we can be assured that other nations will not treat America with respect, the respect that we deserve.

The American People will come first once again. My plan will begin with safety at home – which means safe neighborhoods, secure borders, and protection from terrorism. There can be no prosperity without law and order.

On the economy, I will outline reforms to add millions of new jobs and trillions in new wealth that can be used to rebuild America.

A number of these reforms that I will outline tonight will be opposed by some of our nation’s most powerful special interests. That is because these interests have rigged our political and economic system for their exclusive benefit. Believe me. It’s for their benefit.

Big business, elite media and major donors are lining up behind the campaign of my opponent because they know she will keep our rigged system in place. They are throwing money at her because they have total control over every single thing she does. She is their puppet, and they pull the strings.

That is why Hillary Clinton’s message is that things will never change – never ever. My message is that things have to change – and they have to change right now. Every day I wake up determined to deliver a better life for the people all across this nation that have been ignored, neglected and abandoned.

I have visited the laid-off factory workers, and the communities crushed by our horrible and unfair trade deals. These are the forgotten men and women of our country, and they are forgotten, but they are not going to be forgotten long. These are people who work hard but no longer have a voice.

I AM YOUR VOICE.

I have embraced crying mothers who have lost their children because our politicians put their personal agendas before the national good. I have no patience for injustice, no tolerance for government incompetence, no sympathy for leaders who fail their citizens.

When innocent people suffer, because our political system lacks the will, or the courage, or the basic decency to enforce our laws – or still worse, has sold out to some corporate lobbyist for cash – I am not able to look the other way. And I won’t look the other way.

And when a Secretary of State illegally stores her emails on a private server, deletes 33,000 of them so the authorities can’t see her crime, puts our country at risk, lies about it in every different form and faces no consequence – I know that corruption has reached a level like never ever before in our country.

When the FBI Director says that the Secretary of State was “extremely careless” and “negligent,” in handling our classified secrets, I also know that these terms are minor compared to what she actually did. They were just used to save her from facing justice for her terrible, terrible crimes.

In fact, her single greatest accomplishment may be committing such an egregious crime and getting away with it – especially when others, who have done far less, have paid so dearly. When that same Secretary of State rakes in millions and millions of dollars trading access and favors to special interests and foreign powers I know the time for action has come.

I have joined the political arena so that the powerful can no longer beat up on people who cannot defend themselves. Nobody knows the system better than me, which is why I alone can fix it. I have seen firsthand how the system is rigged against our citizens, just like it was rigged against Bernie Sanders – he never had a chance. Never had a chance.

But his supporters will join our movement, because we will fix his biggest single issue: trade deals that strip our country of its jobs and strip us of our wealth as a country. Millions of Democrats will join our movement because we are going to fix the system so it works fairly, and justly, for each and every American.

In this cause, I am proud to have at my side the next Vice President of the United States: Governor Mike Pence of Indiana.We will bring the same economic success to America that Mike brought to Indiana which is amazing. He is a man of character and accomplishment. He is the man for the job.The first task for our new Administration will be to liberate our citizens from the crime and terrorism and lawlessness that threatens our communities.

America was shocked to its core when our police officers in Dallas were so brutally executed. Immediately after Dallas, we have seen continued threats and violence against our law enforcement officials. Law officers have been shot or killed in recent days in Georgia, Missouri, Wisconsin, Kansas, Michigan and Tennessee.

On Sunday, more police were gunned down in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Three were killed, and three were very, very badly injured.　An attack on law enforcement is an attack on all Americans. I have a message to every last person threatening the peace on our streets and the safety of our police: when I take the oath of office next year, I will restore law and order to our country. Believe me. Believe me.

I will work with, and appoint, the best and brightest prosecutors and law enforcement officials to get the job properly done. In this race for the White House, I am the Law And Order candidate. The irresponsible rhetoric of our President, who has used the pulpit of the presidency to divide us by race and color, has made America a more dangerous environment than frankly, I have ever seen and anybody in this room has ever watched or seen.

This Administration has failed America’s inner cities. Remember. It has failed America’s inner cities. It’s failed them on education. It’s failed them on jobs. It’s failed them on crime. It’s failed them in every way and on every single level.

When I am President, I will work to ensure that all of our kids are treated equally, and protected equally.

Every action I take, I will ask myself: does this make better for young Americans in Baltimore, in Chicago, in Detroit, in Ferguson who have really in every way, folks, the same right to live out their dreams as any other child in America? Any other child...

To make life safe for all our citizens, we must also address the growing threats we face from outside the country: we are going to defeat the barbarians of ISIS and we’re going to defeat them fast. Once again, France is the victim of brutal Islamic terrorism.

Men, women and children viciously mowed down. Lives ruined. Families ripped apart. A nation in mourning.

The damage and devastation that can be inflicted by Islamic radicals has been proven over and over – at the World Trade Center, at an office party in San Bernardino, at the Boston Marathon, at a military recruiting center in Chattanooga, and many many other locations.

Only weeks ago, in Orlando, Florida, 49 wonderful Americans were savagely murdered by an Islamic terrorist. This time, the terrorist targeted LGBTQ community.

No good. We are going to stop it.

As your President, I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens from the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology. Believe me.　I have to say as a republican it is so nice to hear your cheering about what I just said. Thank you. To protect us from terrorism, we need to focus on three things.

We must have the best, absolutely the best gathering of intelligence anywhere in the world. The best. We must abandon the failed policy of nation-building and regime change that Hillary Clinton pushed in Iraq, in Libya, in Egypt and in Syria.

Instead, we must work with all of our allies who share our goal of destroying ISIS and stamping out Islamic terrorism and doing it now and doing it quickly. We’re going to win and we’re going to win fast. This includes working with our greatest ally in the region, the State of Israel.

Recently, I have said that NATO was obsolete, because it did not properly cover terror, and also, that many of the member countries were not paying their fair share. As usual, the United States has been picking up the cost.　Shortly thereafter, it was announced that NATO will be setting up a new program in order to combat terrorism -- a true step in the right direction.

Lastly, and very importantly, we must immediately suspend immigration from any nation that has been compromised by terrorism until such time as proven vetting mechanisms have been put in place. We don’t want them in our country.

My opponent has called for a radical 550% increase in Syrian, think of this, think of　this,　this is not believable but this is what’s happening, a 550% increase in Syrian refugees on top of the existing massive refugee flows coming into our country already under the leadership of President Obama. She proposes this despite the fact that there’s no way to screen these refugees in order to find out who they are or where they come from. I only want to admit individuals into our country who will support our values and love our people.

Anyone who endorses violence, hatred or oppression is not welcome in our country　and never ever will be.

Decades of record immigration have produced lower wages and higher unemployment for our citizens, especially for African-American and Latino workers. We are going to have an immigration system that works, but one that works for the American people. On Monday, we heard from three parents whose children were killed by illegal immigrants—Mary Ann Mendoza, Sabine Durden, and my friend Jamiel Shaw. They are just three brave representatives of many thousands who have suffered so gravely.

Of all my travels in this country, nothing has affected me more, nothing even close I have to tell you, than the time I have spent with the mothers and fathers who have lost their children to violence spilling across our borders, which we can solve, we have to solve them.

These families have no special interests to represent them. There are no demonstrators to protect them, and certainly none to protest on their behalf. My opponent will never meet with them, or share in their pain. Believe me. Instead, my opponent wants Sanctuary Cities.

But where was the sanctuary for Kate Steinle? Where was the Sanctuary for the children of Mary Ann, and Sabine, and Jamiel? Where was the Sanctuary for all the other Americans who have been so brutally murdered, and who have suffered so so horribly?

These wounded American families have been alone. But they are not alone any longer. Tonight, this candidate and the whole nation stand in their corner to support them, to send them our love, and to pledge in their honor that we will save countless more families from suffering and the same awful fate.

We are going to build a great border wall to stop illegal immigration, to stop the gangs and the violence, and to stop the drugs from pouring into our communities. I have been honored to receive the endorsement of America’s Border Patrol Agents, and will work directly with them to protect the integrity of our lawful, lawful, lawful immigration system.

By ending catch-and-release on the border, we will end the cycle of human smuggling and violence. Illegal border crossings will go down. We will stop it, it won’t be happening very much any more. Believe me. Peace will be restored. By enforcing the rules for millions who overstay their visas, our laws will finally receive the respect that they deserve.

Tonight, I want every American whose demands for immigration security have been denied – and every politician who has denied them – to listen very, very closely to the words I am about to say.

On January 20th of 2017, the day I take the oath of office, Americans will finally wake up in a country where the laws of the United States are enforced. We are going to be considerate and compassionate to everyone.

But my greatest compassion will be for our own struggling citizens. My plan is the exact opposite of the radical and dangerous immigration policy of Hillary Clinton. Americans want relief from uncontrolled immigration which is what we have now. Communities want relief.

Yet Hillary Clinton is proposing mass amnesty, mass immigration, and mass lawlessness. Her plan will overwhelm your schools and hospitals, further reduce your jobs and wages, and make it harder for recent immigrants to escape the tremendous cycle of poverty that they are going through right now and make it almost impossible for them to join the middle class.

I have a different vision for our workers. It begins with a new, fair trade policy that protects our jobs and stands up to countries that cheat of which there many. It’s been a signature message of my campaign from day one, and it will be a signature feature of my presidency from the moment I take the oath of office.

I have made billions of dollars in business making deals – now I’m going to make our country rich again. Using the greatest business people in the world which our country has, I am going to turn our bad trade agreements into great trade agreements. America has lost nearly one-third of its manufacturing jobs since 1997, following the enactment of disastrous trade deals supported by Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Remember, it was Bill Clinton who signed NAFTA, one of the worst economic deals ever made by our country or frankly, any other country.

Never ever again.

I am going to bring back our jobs to Ohio, and Pennsylvania, and New York, and Michigan and to all of America – and I am not going to let companies move to other countries, firing their employees along the way, without consequence. Not going to happen any more.

My opponent, on the other hand, has supported virtually every trade agreement that has been destroying our middle class. She supported NAFTA, and she supported China’s entrance into the World Trade Organization – another one of her husband’s colossal mistakes and disasters.

She supported the job-killing trade deal with South Korea. She has supported the Trans-Pacific Partnership – which will not only destroy our manufacturing, but it will make America subject to the rulings of foreign governments. And it’s not going to happen. I pledge to never sign any trade agreement that hurts our workers, or that diminishes our freedom and our independence. We will never ever sign bad trade deals. America first again. America first.　Instead, I will make individual deals with individual countries.

No longer will we enter into these massive transactions, with many countries, that are thousands of pages long – and which no one from our country even reads or understands.　We are going to enforce all trade violations against any country that cheats.

This includes stopping China’s outrageous theft of intellectual property, along with their illegal product dumping, and their devastating currency manipulation. They are the greatest that ever came about. They are the greatest currency manipulators ever.　Our horrible trade agreements with China, and many others, will be totally renegotiated. That includes renegotiating NAFTA to get a much better deal for America – and we’ll walk away if we don’t get that kind of deal. Our country is going to start building and making things again.

Next comes the reform of our tax laws, regulations and energy rules. While Hillary Clinton plans a massive, and I mean massive tax increase, I have proposed the largest tax reduction of any candidate who has run for president this year – Democrat or Republican. Middle-income Americans and businesses will experience profound relief, and taxes will be greatly simplified for everyone. I mean everyone.

America is one of the highest-taxed nations in the world. Reducing taxes will cause new companies and new jobs to come roaring back into our country. Believe me. It will happen and it will happen fast. Then we are going to deal with the issue of regulation, one of the greatest job-killers of them all. Excessive regulation is costing our country as much as 2 trillion dollars a year, and we will end it very, very quickly.

We are going to lift the restrictions on the production of American energy. This will produce more than 20 trillion dollars in job-creating economic activity over the next four decades.

My opponent, on the other hand, wants to put the great miners and the great steel workers of our country out of work and out of business. That will never happen when Donald J Trump is President. Our steel workers and our miners are going back to work again. With these new economic policies, trillions of trillions of dollars will start flowing into our country.

This new wealth will improve the quality of life for all Americans. We will build the roads, highways, bridges, tunnels, airports, and the railways of tomorrow. This, in turn, will create millions of more jobs. We will rescue kids from failing schools by helping their parents send them to a safe school of their choice.

My opponent would rather protect bureaucrats than serve American children. And that’s what she’s doing and that’s what she’s done. We will repeal and replace disastrous Obamacare. You will be able to choose your own doctor again. And we will fix TSA at the airports which is a total disaster.

We going to work with all of our students who are drowning in debt to take the pressure off these young people just starting out their adult lives. Tremendous problem. We will completely rebuild our depleted military, and the countries that we are protecting, at a massive cost to us, will be asked to pay their fair share.

We will take care of our great Veterans like they have never been taken care of before. My just-released Ten Point Plan has received tremendous veteran support. We will guarantee those who serve this country will be able to visit the doctor or hospital of their choice without waiting five days on a line and dying.

My opponent dismissed the VA scandal – one more sign of how out of touch she really is. We are going to ask every Department Head in government to provide a list of wasteful spending on projects that we can eliminate in my first 100 days. The politicians have talked about this for years, but I’m going to do it. We are going to appoint justices to the United States Supreme Court who will uphold our laws and our Constitution.

The replacement of our beloved Justice Scalia will be a person of similar views, principles, and judicial philosophies. Very important. This will be one of the most important issues decided by this election. My opponent wants to essentially abolish the 2nd amendment. I, on the other hand, received the early and strong endorsement of the National Rifle Association and will protect the right of all Americans to keep their families safe.

At this moment, I would like to thank the evangelical and religious community because, I tell you what, the support they have given me — and I'm not sure I totally deserve it — has been so amazing. And has been such a big reason for me being here tonight. True. So true. They have much to contribute to our politics, yet our laws prevent you from speaking your minds from your own pulpits.

An amendment, pushed by Lyndon Johnson, many years ago, threatens religious institutions with a loss of their tax-exempt status if they openly advocate their political views. Their voice is taken away.I am going to work very hard to repeal that language and to protect free speech for all Americans.

We can accomplish these great things, and so much more – all we need to do is start believing in ourselves and in our country again. Start believing. It is time to show the whole world that America Is Back – bigger, and better and stronger than ever before.

In this journey, I'm so lucky to have at my side my wife Melania and my wonderful children, Don, Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany, and Barron: you will always be my greatest source of pride and joy. And by the way, Melania and Ivanka, did they do a job? My Dad, Fred Trump, was the smartest and hardest working man I ever knew. I wonder sometimes what he’d say if he were here to see this and to see me tonight.

It’s because of him that I learned, from my youngest age, to respect the dignity of work and the dignity of working people. He was a guy most comfortable in the company of bricklayers, and carpenters, and electricians and I have a lot of that in me also. I love those people.

Then there’s my mother, Mary. She was strong, but also warm and fairminded. She was a truly great mother. She was also one of the most honest and charitable people that I have ever known, and a great, great judge of character. She could pick them out from anywhere.

To my sisters Mary Anne and Elizabeth, my brother Robert and my late brother Fred, I will always give you my love—you are most special to me. I have had a truly great life in business.

But now, my sole and exclusive mission is to go to work for our country – to go to work for you. It’s time to deliver a victory for the American people. We don’t win any more, but we are going to start winning again.

But to do that, we must break free from the petty politics of the past. America is a nation of believers, dreamers, and strivers that is being led by a group of censors, critics and cynics.

Remember: all of the people telling you that you can’t have the country you want, are the same people that wouldn’t stand, I mean they said Trump does not have a chance of being here tonight, not a chance, the same people. We love defeating those people, don't we? Love it.

No longer can we rely on those same people in the media, and politics, who will say anything to keep our rigged system in place. Instead, we must choose to believe In America. History is watching us now. We don’t have much time, but history is watching.

It’s waiting to see if we will rise to the occasion, and if we will show the whole world that America is still free and independent and strong. I'm asking for your support tonight so that I can be your champion in the White House. And I will be your champion.

My opponent asks her supporters to recite a three-word loyalty pledge. It reads: “I’m With Her”. I choose to recite a different pledge.

My pledge reads: “I’M WITH YOU – THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.”

I am your voice.

So to every parent who dreams for their child, and every child who dreams for their future, I say these words to you tonight: I am with you, I will fight for you, and I will win for you.

To all Americans tonight, in all of our cities and in all of our towns, I make this promise: We Will Make America Strong Again.

We Will Make America Proud Again.

We Will Make America Safe Again.

And We Will Make America Great Again.

何十年もかけて犯罪を減らしてきましたが、現政権が警察を減らしたため、状況が逆戻りしています。

アメリカの５０の大都市における去年の殺人件数は１７％増加しました。この２５年で最大の増加です。わが国の首都では殺人が５０％増加しています。首都近郊のボルチモアでは６０％近くも増えています。

大統領の出身地であるシカゴでは、ことしだけでも２０００人以上が銃の発砲によって犠牲になっています。そして、シカゴ地区では、オバマ大統領が就任して以来、およそ４０００人以上が殺害されています。

職務中に殺害された警察官の数は、去年の同じ時期に比べておよそ５０％も増加しています。犯罪歴があり、わが国から追放を命じられた１８万人近くの不法移民が、今夜も自由にうろついて、平和な市民たちを脅かしています。

ことしに入ってこれまでに国境を越えた新たな不法移民の数は、すでに２０１５年の年間の人数を超えています。公共の安全や資源に与える影響などお構いなしに、何万人もの不法移民が私たちの地域社会に放たれているのです。

このようにして国境を越えて入ってきた１人の男が自由の身となって、ネブラスカに行きました。そこで、彼は、サラ・ルートさんという名前の無実の若い女性の命を奪ったのです。彼女は２１歳で、優秀な成績で大学を卒業した翌日に殺害されました。クラスでいちばんの成績をおさめていたのです。彼女を殺害した男は、当時、２度も釈放されており、現在は法の網の目をくぐり抜けて逃亡者になっています。

私は、サラさんの美しい家族にお会いしました。しかし、今の政権にとっては、彼らの美しい娘は、保護する価値のない、1人のアメリカ人の命に過ぎませんでした。これ以上、子どもが、開かれた国境の犠牲になるようなことがあってはなりません。

私たちの経済はどうでしょうか？

皆さんが目にする夜のニュースや朝刊に載っている明白な事実をお伝えしましょう。アフリカ系アメリカ人の子どもたちの１０人に４人近くが貧困生活を送っており、アフリカ系アメリカ人の若者の５８％が雇用されていません。オバマ大統領が８年前に大統領に就任したときに比べて、現在、ヒスパニック系アメリカ人で貧困に苦しんでいる人たちは２００万人も増えています。更に１４００万人が労働人口から完全に外れています。

世帯収入は、１６年前の２０００年以降、４０００ドル以上も下がっています。私たちのモノの貿易赤字は去年だけでおよそ８０００億円に達しました。私たちは、それを直します。

予算もよくありません。オバマ大統領は、国家の債務をおよそ１９兆ドル以上に倍増させ、今も増え続けています。しかし、それにもかかわらず、私たちの道路や橋はばらばらに壊れ、空港は第三世界の様相を呈し、４３００万人のアメリカ人が食糧切符で暮らしています。

海外での状況について考えてみましょう。

私たちは、国内の災難に耐えてきただけでなく、相次ぐ国際的な屈辱にも耐えてきました。私たちは、アメリカ人の水兵たちがイラン人に捕らえられ、銃口を突きつけられて跪かされていた映像を覚えています。

これは、イランに１５００億ドルも払い、私たちには全く何も与えられなかったイランとの核合意に署名する直前のことでした。このことは、これまで交渉されたなかで、最悪の取引きの1つとして歴史に刻まれることでしょう。もう1つの屈辱は、オバマ大統領が、シリアで超えてはならない一線を引いたときです。世界中が、それが全く意味のないものであることを知っていました。

リビアでは、アメリカの威信の象徴である領事館が炎に包まれて燃え落ちました。オバマ大統領がヒラリー・クリントン氏をアメリカの外交政策の責任者にすることを決定したときよりも、アメリカははるかに安全ではなく、世界もはるかに不安定なものになっています。

１１月にはクリントン氏を打ち負かしましょう。

クリントン氏の国務長官就任は、オバマ大統領が心から後悔している決定だと私は思います。クリントン氏のお粗末な本能とまずい判断が―それは、バーニー・サンダース氏も指摘していたことですが―現在も続いている惨事の多くを引き起こしたのです。

過去を振り返ってみましょう。

クリントン氏がアメリカ外交の責任者に就任する前の２００９年、過激派組織ＩＳ＝イスラミック・ステートは地図にさえ載っていませんでした。リビアは安定していました。エジプトは平和でした。イラクでは暴力が大幅に減っていました。イランは制裁で窒息させられていました。シリアはなんとか統制が取れていました。

ヒラリー・クリントン時代から４年後、私たちには何があるのでしょうか？

ＩＳは地域全体、そして、全世界へと拡散しています。リビアは破壊され、アメリカ大使とその職員は、野蛮な殺人者の手によって助けもないまま死亡しました。エジプトは過激なムスリム同胞団に引き渡され、軍による権力の掌握を余儀なくさせています。

イラクは混乱の中にあります。イランは核兵器開発の途上にあります。シリアは内戦に巻き込まれ、難民危機が西側諸国を脅かしています。中東での１５年間の戦争で何兆ドルもの資金が投じられ、何千という命が失われたあと、状況はかつてないほど悪化しています。

これは、ヒラリー・クリントン氏が残した遺産です。死、破壊、テロリズム、そして弱さです。

しかし、ヒラリー・クリントン氏の遺産はアメリカの遺産である必要はありません。私たちが直面している問題、つまり、国内では貧困や暴力、海外では戦争や破壊は、そもそも最初にこうした事態を生み出したのと同じ政治家に私たちが依存し続けるかぎり、続いていくことでしょう。結果に変化を生み出すためには、リーダーシップの変化が必要とされているのです。

今夜、私は、アメリカのための行動計画を皆さんと共有します。

私たちの計画と私たちの対立候補との最も重要な違いは、私たちの計画がアメリカ第一であるということです。グローバリズムではなく、アメリカニズムが私たちの信条になるでしょう。私たちがアメリカを第一に据えない政治家によって導かれるかぎり、ほかの国々が私たちが当然値する尊敬の念を持ってアメリカに対応しないことは確かです。

アメリカ国民が、再び最優先されるでしょう。私の計画は、国内の安全から始まります。それは、安全な地域社会、安全な国境、そして、テロからの保護です。法と秩序なくしては、繁栄はありえません。

経済に関して、私は、アメリカの再建のため、何百万という新規の雇用と数兆ドルもの新たな富を生み出す改革の概略を述べます。

今夜、私が示すこれらの改革の多くは、わが国の最も強力な特別利益団体のいくつかによって反対されることでしょう。なぜなら、彼らは自分たちの利益のために、私たちの政治的、経済的なシステムを不正に操作しているからです。私を信じて下さい。それは彼らの利益のためなのです。

大企業や大手メディア、大口の献金者は、私の対立候補の選挙運動を支援しています。なぜなら、彼女なら私たちの不正に操作されたシステムをそのままにしておくことを、彼らは知っているからです。彼らは、彼女が行うすべてのことをコントロールできるので、彼女にお金を投じているのです。彼女は彼らのあやつり人形で、彼らが糸を操っているのです。

このため、ヒラリー・クリントン氏のメッセージは決して変わらないのです。私のメッセージは、物事は変わらなければならないというものです。そして、物事は今すぐに変わらなければなりません。私は毎日、この国の至る所で出会った、ないがしろにされ、無視され、見捨てられた人々のために、変化をもたらそうとの決意で目を覚まします。

私は、一時解雇された工場労働者や、私たちのひどく不公平な貿易取引によって壊滅に至った地域社会を訪れています。こうした地域にいるのは、忘れ去られた、わが国の男性や女性たちです。懸命に働いているものの、もはや声を持たない人たちなのです。

私はあなた方の代弁者です。

私は、わが国の政治家たちが国家の利益よりも自分たちの課題を優先させたために、子どもを失って泣いている母親を擁護しています。私は、不正を我慢したり、政府の無能を容認したりはしませんし、自分たちの市民を見捨てる指導者に共感したりもしません。

私たちの政治制度が、意志や勇気、あるいは、法律を施行しようという基本的な品位に欠けているために、罪のない人々が苦しむとき―、あるいは、なお悪いことに、現金と引き換えに企業のロビイストにそれらを売り渡しているとき、私は、反対の方向を見ることはできません。私は見て見ぬふりはしないでしょう。

前国務長官が、私用サーバーにメールを違法に蓄積し、当局に犯罪を見抜かれないように３３０００件のメールを削除して、わが国を危険にさらし、あれこれウソを並べ立てても責任をとらない。私は、こうした腐敗がわが国でかつてないレベルにまで進んでいることを知っています。

ＦＢＩ長官は、前国務長官の機密の取り扱いについて、“極度に不注意”で“怠慢”だったと述べていますが、彼女が実際にしたことに比べ、これらのことばが軽いことも私には分かっています。彼らは、酷い犯罪に対して裁きが下されることから彼女を救うことが常なのです。

実際のところ、彼女のただ１つの最大の業績は、言語道断な罪を犯して、それから逃れていることかもしれません。特に、はるかに軽い罪を犯したほかの人たちが大きな代償を支払っていることを考えれば―。その国務長官が、通商へのアクセスで特別な利益団体や海外の有力者に便宜を図るのと引き換えに何百万ドルもの金をかき集めているとき、私には行動のときが来たことが分かりました。

私は、力のある人たちが、自分たちを守ることができない人々を叩きのめしたりできないようにするために政界の仲間入りをしました。私よりこのシステムをよく知っている人は誰もいません。だからこそ、私は１人で、それを正すことができるのです。私は、いかにシステムが私たちの市民に対して不正操作されているかをじかに目にしていますし、それは、バーニー・サンダース氏に対する不正操作にも言えます。サンダース氏には決してチャンスはありませんでした。

しかし、彼の支援者たちは私たちの運動に加わることでしょう。なぜなら、私たちが、彼の最大かつ唯一の課題、つまり、わが国から雇用や富を奪っている貿易の取り決めについて正すからです。何百万という民主党員が私たちの活動に加わることでしょう。なぜなら、すべてのアメリカ人にとって公平に正しく機能するように、私たちがこのシステムを正すからです。

この運動において、私は、次期副大統領としてインディアナ州のマイク・ペンス知事を伴走者として迎えることを誇りに思います。私たちは、ペンス氏がインディアナ州にもたらした驚くべき経済的成功と同じものをアメリカにももたらすでしょう。彼は人格者であり、業績を打ち立てた人物です。彼は仕事に取り組める人です。私たちの新政権の初仕事は、地域社会を脅かしている犯罪やテロ、そして、無法状態から私たちの市民を解放することです。

ダラスの警察官が極めて残忍な手口で処刑されたとき、アメリカは心の底から衝撃を受けました。ダラス事件の直後に、警察官への脅迫や暴力が続くのを私たちは見ました。ここ最近だけで、ジョージア、ミズーリ、ウィスコンシン、カンザス、ミシガン、テネシーで警察官が銃撃されたり殺害されたりしています。

日曜日には、ルイジアナ州バトンルージュで新たに複数の警察官が銃撃されました。３人が死亡し、３人がひどい重傷を負いました。警察官への攻撃はすべてのアメリカ人への攻撃です。私は、街の平穏や警察官の安全を脅かすようなことを決してしない、すべての人に伝えたい。来年、就任の宣誓をしたら、私は法と秩序をこの国に取り戻します。私を信じてください。信じてください。

私は全米で最も優れた検察官および警察官を任命し、適切に職務が実行されるよう彼らと協力します。ホワイトハウスを目指すこのレースにおいて、私は法と秩序の候補です。大統領職の演壇を利用して私たちを人種や肌の色で分断した大統領は、その無責任な発言により、率直に言って、私をはじめこの部屋にいる誰もがこれまで見たこともないほど危険な環境にアメリカを陥れました。

この政権はアメリカのインナーシティー（貧困層の多い都心部）を裏切りました。忘れないでください。彼らはアメリカのインナーシティーを裏切ったのです。教育や雇用において裏切り、犯罪に関して失望させ、あらゆる方法、あらゆるレベルで彼らを裏切ったのです。

私が大統領になったら、間違いなくすべての子どもたちが平等に扱われ、平等に守られるようにします。

行動を起こすたびに私は自分に問いかけます。これはボルチモア、シカゴ、デトロイト、ファーガソンの若者たちの生活をよくするだろうかと。彼らにはあらゆる点で、ほかのアメリカのどの子どもと変わらずに夢をかなえる権利があります。ほかのどの子供とも変わらずに。

アメリカのすべての市民の暮らしを安全にするために、私たちは、アメリカが直面し、増大する国外の脅威にも取り組まなくてはなりません。私たちはＩＳの野蛮人を打倒します。しかも、迅速に打倒します。フランスは再び野蛮なイスラム過激主義の被害者になりました。

男性、女性、子供たちが凶暴な手段で無差別に殺害されました。人生を台無しにされ、家族が引き裂かれました。国民は嘆き悲しんでいます。

イスラム過激派が損害や破壊を生じさせえることは何度となく実証されています。世界貿易センターで、サンバーナーディーノの職場のパーティーで、ボストンマラソンで、テネシー州チャタヌーガの軍の新兵募集所で、その他、多くの場所で。

ほんの数週間前にも、フロリダ州オーランドで４９人のすばらしいアメリカ人がイスラム主義のテロリストにより無残にも殺害されました。このとき、テロリストの標的になったのはＬＧＢＴＱ（性的マイノリティー）のコミュニティーでした。

ひどい話であり、私たちはこういうことをやめさせます。

皆さんの大統領として、私は、憎しみに満ちた外国のイデオロギーの暴力や抑圧から、アメリカのＬＧＢＴＱの市民を守るために全力を尽くします。私を信じてください。共和党員として言わせてもらえば、今の私の発言に対する皆さんの歓声を聞いて本当に嬉しいです。ありがとう。アメリカをテロから守るために、私たちは３つのことに焦点を当てなくてはなりません。

私たちは世界のあらゆる所で絶対的に優れた情報収集力を持たなくてはなりません。最も優れた力をです。ヒラリー・クリントンが、イラクやリビア、エジプト、シリアで推し進めて失敗に終わった国家建設や体制変革の政策を捨てなくてはなりません。

代わりに、ＩＳの殲滅とイスラム過激主義の根絶という私たちの目標を共有する同盟国と力を合わせて行動しなくてはなりません。そして、それを今すぐに、迅速に行うことにより、私たちは勝利し、しかも、速やかに勝利するのです。それには、あの地域における私たちの最大の同盟国であるイスラエル国との協力が含まれます。

先日、私は、ＮＡＴＯ＝北大西洋条約機構はテロに適切に対応しておらず、加盟国の多くが相応の負担を支払っていないため、時代遅れだと言いました。いつものように、アメリカがその「つけ」を支払っています。私の発言のすぐあとに、ＮＡＴＯはテロと戦う新しいプログラムを策定すると発表しました。正しい方向への真の一歩です。

最後に、そして、これは非常に重要なことですが、確かな審査方法が実施されるまで、私たちはテロに屈したあらゆる国からの移民受け入れを即刻、一時停止しなくてはなりません。私たちは彼らを国に入れたくないのです。

私の対立候補は、シリア人（の受け入れ）をなんと５５０％増やそうと呼びかけています。考えてみてください。信じられませんが、実際に起きていることです。オバマ大統領の指揮のもとですでに行われている既存の大量移民流入に加えて、シリアからの難民を５５０％も増やそうとしているのです。これらの難民がどういう人で、どこの出身かを知るための審査方法がないにもかかわらず、彼女はこれを提案しているのです。私は、アメリカの価値観を支持し、アメリカ国民を愛する人にしかこの国に入ってほしくありません。

暴力や憎しみ、あるいは抑圧を是認するような人間はこの国には歓迎されません。未来永劫です。

記録的な入国者が数十年続いた結果、私たちの市民、とりわけアフリカ系アメリカ人とヒスパニック系アメリカ人は賃金の低下と失業率の上昇にさらされました。私たちは機能する移民制度、ただし、アメリカ国民のために機能する移民制度を打ち出します。

月曜日に、私たちは不法移民に子どもを殺された３人の親、メアリーアン・メンドーザ、サビーン・ダーデン、そして、私の友人、ジャミール・ショウから話を聞きました。彼らは深い苦しみを背負った何千、何万という人たちを代表する勇気ある３人です。これまで全米を旅していて、私の心を何よりも深く、はっきり言ってほかに比べるものがないほど深く動かしたのは、国境を超えて入ってくる暴力によって子どもを失った母親や父親と過ごした時間でした。私たちはこの問題を解決できるし、解決しなくてはなりません。

こうした家族には、代弁してくれる特別な利益団体もありません。彼らに代わって抗議デモをしてくれる人たちはもとより、彼らを守ってくれる人たちもいません。私の対立候補は彼らに会うことも、彼らと痛みを分かち合うことも決してありません。本当です。代わりに、私の対立候補は「聖域都市（移民に優しい街）」を望んでいます。

しかし、ケイト・スタインリー（不法移民に射殺されたとされる若い白人女性）の聖域はどこにあったのでしょう？ メアリーアン、サビーン、そして、ジャミールの子どもたちの聖域はどこにあったのでしょうか？残忍な方法で殺害されたり、ひどい苦しみを被ったりした、ほかのすべてのアメリカ人の聖域はどこだったのでしょうか？

これらの傷ついたアメリカ人家族は孤独でした。しかし、彼らはもう孤独ではありません。今夜、この候補者とアメリカ国民は彼らに寄り添い、支え、彼らに愛を送り、そして、さらに多くの家族が同じような恐ろしい運命の苦しみを味わうことのないよう助けることを彼らに敬意を払って誓います。

私たちは不法入国を阻止するため、ギャングや暴力を食止めるため、そして、私たちのコミュニティーに麻薬が流れ込むのを防ぐために巨大な国境の壁を築きます。私は光栄なことにアメリカの国境警備隊員の支持を受けています。法的な入国管理システムの完全な状態を守るために彼らと直接、協力していきます。

国境でのキャッチ・アンド・リリースを終わらせることにより、密入国斡旋と暴力の連鎖に終止符を打ちます。私たちは終わらせます。こうしたことはもう二度と起きません。私を信じてください。平穏が取り戻されます。ビザが切れて不法滞在している数百万人に対して規則を施行することにより、私たちの法律に相応の敬意がついに払われることになるのです。

今夜、私は国境のセキュリティーの要求を否定されてきたすべてのアメリカ人、そして、これらを否定したすべての政治家に、私がこれから言うことばをよく聞いてほしいと思います。

２０１７年１月２０日、私が就任の宣誓を行う日に、アメリカ人は、合衆国の法律が施行される国で、ついに朝を迎えることになります。私たちはすべての人に対して思いやりと温情を持ちます。しかし、私の最大の思いやりは苦境にあるアメリカに向けられます。

私の計画はヒラリー・クリントンの急進的かつ危険は移民政策とは真逆です。アメリカ人は現状のような制御されていない入国管理からの解放を望んでいます。社会は安心感を求めているのです。

しかし、ヒラリー・クリントンは大量の恩赦、大量の移民、そして、大々的な無法状態を提案しています。彼女の計画はわが国の学校や病院を混乱させ、皆さんの雇用や賃金をさらに減らし、近年の移民たちが、今起きている貧困の恐ろしい連鎖から脱出するのをさらに難しくし、そして、中産階級に入るのをほぼ不可能にするものです。

わが国の労働者のために、私には異なるビジョンがあります。その手始めは、私たちの雇用を守り、不正なことをする国に立ち向かう新しい公正な通商政策です。それは私の選挙運動の１日目からの代表的なメッセージでした。正式に就任したその瞬間から私の大統領職の象徴的な特徴となるでしょう。

私はビジネスで巨額の儲けをあげてきました。これからはこの国を再び裕福にします。私たちの国に大勢いる世界で最も偉大な実業家たちを活用して、私は悪い通商協定を良い通商協定に変えます。アメリカは１９９７年以降、ビル・クリントンとヒラリー・クリントンが支持した破壊的な貿易協定の執行に伴って、３分の１近い製造業の雇用を失ってきました。

思い出してください。ＮＡＦＴＡに署名したのはビル・クリントンです。あれはわが国、あるいは率直に言ってあらゆる国がこれまでに締結した最も悪しき経済協定の１つです。

二度とあってはなりません。

私はオハイオやペンシルベニア、ニューヨーク、ミシガン、そして、アメリカ全土に雇用を取り戻します。そして、企業が従業員を解雇し、何の代償も払わされることなくほかの国へ移るのを許しません。そういうことは二度とさせません。

一方、私の対立候補は、わが国の中産階級を破壊してきたほぼすべての通商協定を支持してきました。彼女はＮＡＦＴＡを支持し、中国のＷＴＯ＝世界貿易機関への加入―、 これも彼女の夫が引き起こした大間違い、大惨事の１つですが―、これを支持しました。

彼女は雇用を失わせる韓国との通商協定を支持しました。彼女が支持したＴＰＰ＝環太平洋パートナーシップ協定は、わが国の製造業を破壊するだけでなく、アメリカを外国政府の決定に従わせるものです。こういうことは二度と起こさせません。私はいかなるものであれ、我が国の労働者に害を及ぼす、あるいは我々の自由や独立を損なう悪い貿易協定には決して署名しないことを誓います。私たちは悪い通商協定には決して署名しません。再びアメリカ第一です。アメリカが第一です。その代わりに、私は個々の国と個々の協定を結びます。

私は膨大な数の国との何千ページにもおよぶこれらの大々的な協定―、わが国の人間が誰１人読みもしなければ、理解もしない協定はもう締結しません。不正なことをする国に対しては、私たちは税や関税の適用を含む手段によって、通商のあらゆる違反措置（trade violation）を行います。

これには、中国の不法な製品ダンピングや破壊的な為替操作に加え、中国による知的財産のあきれた窃盗行為が含まれます。彼らは史上最も巧みな為替操作者です。中国をはじめ多くの国々との恐ろしい通商協定については全面的に再交渉を行います。それには、アメリカにとって今よりはるかに有利な取り決めを行うためのＮＡＦＴＡの再交渉も含まれます。もし、そのような取り決めが得られなければ、私たちは脱退します。わが国は再び、物を作り、建設するようになるのです。

次に起きるのは、税の法律、規制、そしてエネルギーの改革です。ヒラリー・クリントンは大幅な、本当に大幅な増税を計画していますが、私はことし、大統領選挙に名乗りをあげた民主・共和両党のどの候補者の案よりも大規模な減税策を提案しました。中間所得層のアメリカ人および企業は大規模な負担減を実感します。すべての人にとって税制は簡素化されます。すべての人にとってです。

アメリカは世界で最も税金の高い国の１つです。減税により、わが国で新しい企業や新しい雇用が勢いよく戻ってきます。私を信じてください。これはすぐに起きます。そして、私たちは雇用を奪う最大の原因の１つである規制の問題に取り組みます。過剰な規制はわが国に年間２兆ドルの損失を与えており、私たちはこれを極めて迅速に終わらせます。

私たちはアメリカのエネルギー生産に課されている規制を取り払います。これにより、向こう４０年間にわたり、雇用を創出する経済活動において２００兆ドル以上を生み出します。

これに対して、私の対立候補は、わが国の偉大な鉱山労働者や鉄鋼産業労働者から職を奪い、失業させたいと思っています。ドナルド・トランプが大統領になったら、そのようなことは決して起きません。わが国の鉄鋼産業労働者や鉱山労働者は再びあの職場で働くのです。

これらの新しい経済政策により、莫大な資金がわが国に流れ込み始めます。この新しい富はすべてのアメリカ人の生活の質を向上させます。私たちは道路、ハイウェイ、橋、トンネル、空港、そして、未来の鉄道を建設します。これにより、膨大な数の雇用が創出されます。私たちは、親がみずから選択する安全な学校へ子どもを通わせるのを支援することにより、学校での落ちこぼれから子どもを救います。

私の対立候補は、アメリカの子どもたちのために働くよりも、むしろ、教育官僚を守ります。彼女はそうするつもりですし、これまでそうしてきました。私たちは破滅的なオバマケアを撤廃し、別の制度に替えます。皆さんは再び医師を自分で選ぶことができるようになります。そして、最悪の状態にある空港の運輸安全局を私たちは正常な状態に戻します。

私たちは借金に押しつぶされそうなすべての学生たちと力を合わせ、これら若者が（借金の）プレッシャーから解放されて社会人生活を始めることができるように努めます。これは途方もなく重大な問題です。私たちは衰退した軍を完全に立て直します。私たちが大きな犠牲を払いながら守っている国々は各自の相応な負担を支払うよう求められるでしょう。

私たちは偉大な退役軍人をかつてないほど手厚く世話します。つい最近発表した私の１０項目の計画は退役軍人から大変な支持を受けました。私たちはこの国に奉仕した人たちが自分の選ぶ医師や病院にかかることができるよう保証し、受診を５日も待たされて死んでしまうなどということは絶対に起こさせません。

私の対立候補は、退役軍人局のスキャンダルを蔓延した問題ではないとして無視しました。彼女が実態をいかに把握していないか示すもう１つの証拠です。私たちはすべての省庁のトップに対し、廃止可能なプロジェクトへの無駄な支出のリストを、私の就任から最初の１００日以内に提出するよう命じます。政治家たちはこれについて長年論じてきましたが、私は実行に移します。

私たちはまた、わが国の法律と憲法を守る連邦最高裁の判事を選任します。私たちが愛したスカリア判事の後任者は、彼と同じような考えおよび原則、そして、司法哲学を持つ人物になるでしょう。これはこの選挙により決まる最も重要な問題の１つです。私の対立候補は基本的に憲法修正第２条（個人の銃器保有・保持の権利を保障する条項）を廃棄しようとしています。これに対して、私は、早々と全米ライフル協会から強力な支持を得ており、家族の安全を守るすべてのアメリカ人の権利を保護します。

この場で、私はキリスト教福音主義のコミュニティーに感謝を表明したいと思います。と言うのも、彼らは私を熱心に支持してくれています。私にその資格が十分にあるかどうか自信ないのですが。彼らの支持は信じられないほどすばらしく、今夜、私がここにいる大きな理由の１つでもあります。彼らはわが国の政治に極めて大きな貢献をしているにもかかわらず、わが国の法律は、皆さんが自分たちの説教壇から自分の考えを述べるのを阻止しています。

何十年も前にリンドン・ジョンソンが推し進めた憲法修正は、宗教法人が公に政治的な考えを唱えると非課税の立場を剥奪すると脅しています。彼らは発言権を奪われたのです。私はその文言を削除し、すべてのアメリカ人の言論の自由を守ります。

私たちはこれらのすばらしいことを達成できます。そして、何よりも、私たちが手始めにやらなくてはいけないのは、自分自身と自分の国を再び信じることです。信じることを始めましょう。今こそ、世界中に向けて、アメリカがこれまでに増して大きく、よりよく、そして、より強くなって復活することを示すときです。

この旅で、私はそばに妻のメラニアとすばらしい子どもたち、ドン、イヴァンカ、エリック、ティファニー、バロンがいてくれることをとても幸運に思っています。あなた方は常に私の誇りと喜びのいちばんの源泉です。ところで、メラニアとイヴァンカはそれぞれの役割を果たしましたよね？私の父のフレッド・トランプは私が知るかぎりで最も賢く、最も勤勉な人間でした。父が今ここにいて、これを、そして、今夜の私を見ていたら何と言うだろうかと考えます。

というのも、私が労働の尊さや働く人々の尊厳を尊重することを幼い頃から学んだのは父のお陰だからです。父はレンガ職人や大工、電気技師などと一緒にいるといちばんホッとするという人でした。私にもそういうところが大いにあります。私はそういう人たちが大好きです。

そして、私の母のメアリーですが、彼女は強く、しかし、温かく公平な人でした。本当に偉大な母でした。彼女はまた、私の知るかぎりで最も正直で寛容な人の１人であり、人を見る目に非常に長けていました。どこにいても見つけ出すのです。

私の女兄弟、メアリーアンとエリザベス、男の兄弟のロバートと今は亡きフレッド。いつもあなた方を愛している。あなた方は私にとって本当に特別です。私は実業家としてすばらしい人生を送ってきました。

しかし、これからは私の唯一の使命は国のために働くこと、皆さんすべてのために働くことです。今こそ、アメリカ国民に勝利を届けるときです。私たちは単に勝利するのではなく、勝利し続けるのです。

しかし、それをするためには、次元の低い過去の政治と決別しなくてはなりません。アメリカは信じる者、夢を持つ人たち、そして、検閲者や批評家、皮肉屋の集団に導かれた努力家たちの国です。

忘れないでください。自分の望むとおりの国などありえないと言う人たちは、トランプが今夜、ここに立つことなどありえないと言ってきた人たちです。勝ち目はないと言っていた人たちです。そう言っていた人たちを打ち負かしたいではありませんか？

不正に操作された制度を維持するためなら何でも言うメディアや政界のエリートたちを私たちはもはや信じることはできません。代わりに、私たちはアメリカを信じる道を選ばなくてはなりません。歴史は今、私たちを見ています。

もう時間はあまりありません。私たちがここ一番で力を発揮するかどうか、そして、私たちが世界中に、アメリカは今も自由で自立し、強力だと証明してみせるかどうかを歴史は見ています。

私がホワイトハウスで皆さんの擁護者になることができるよう、今夜、私は皆さんの支援をお願いします。私は皆さんの擁護者になります。皆さんの擁護者です。

私の対立候補は自身の支持者に３つの単語からなる忠誠の誓いを唱えるよう求めています。「私は彼女と共にある」と。

私が選ぶ誓いのことばは異なります。私の誓いのことばは「私はアメリカ国民と共にある」です。

私は皆さんの声です。

子どもの将来を夢見るすべての親、自分の将来を夢見るすべての子供たちに向かって、私は今夜、このことばを言います。私は皆さんと共にいます。そして、皆さんのために戦い、皆さんのために勝利します。

今夜、すべての都市、すべての町のすべてのアメリカ国民に私はこう約束します。

私たちはアメリカを再び強くします。

アメリカの誇りを取り戻します。

アメリカを再び安全にします。

そして、アメリカを再び偉大にします。
