ラグビーＷ杯 日本が南アフリカに勝利

英語タイトルのupsetはここでは「番狂わせで勝つ」で、JAPAN UPSETS S. AFRICAは「日本、南アフリカ相手に番狂わせで勝利」という意味です。

At the Rugby World Cup in England, Japan stunned the two-time champion South Africa with a historic 34-32 victory in their opening match. The Brave Blossoms, ranked 13th in the world, were the underdogs against the third-ranked Springboks.
Japan scored first, with fullback Ayumu Goromaru converting a penalty kick eight minutes into the first half. South Africa regained the lead with a try and a conversion in the first half and remained in the lead in the second half. But winger Karne Hesketh made a try in the final minute to give Japan a surprise win. The Brave Blossoms had recorded just one World Cup match victory in 1991.
